I just came from jumu’ah. The khateeb started off the khutbah by talking about the persecution of one of the sahaba. He said they used to torture him by making him lay on hot coals until the fat and flesh on his back would sizzle. It instantly made me think of what I go through wearing niqab. This muslim had his flesh burned off because he believed in Allah and His Messenger s.a.w. So can’t I deal with stares and a few comments here and there for the sake of Allah? I know that Allah is my protection when I step out the house wearing niqab, seeking His Pleasure and that is enough for me.
